About Us

Chadron’s Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with Down syndrome and other neurodevelopmental disabilities in Tanzania. We exist to ensure that children and their families have access to therapy, emotional support, education, and community resources that enable them to thrive with dignity and confidence.

The foundation was established in 2017 and was inspired by the life and journey of Chadron Aaron, a child born with Down syndrome and later diagnosed with autism. His story revealed the gaps, stigma, and challenges faced by families, but also the incredible strength, resilience, and hope within them. Today, his life continues to inspire a movement that centers love, inclusion, and possibility.

What We Do

We provide therapy through Imara Therapy Center, empower families through Mama Mwema, and raise awareness through national advocacy initiatives.

Why Our Work Matters

In Tanzania, families raising children with disabilities often experience isolation, misinformation, limited access to services, and financial hardship. Many mothers walk this journey alone without support or understanding from their communities.
We exist to change this reality. We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to develop and belong, and that every mother deserves support, dignity, and hope. Our work focuses on transforming families from isolation to connection and from vulnerability to empowerment.

Our Vision

A society where all children with neurodevelopmental disabilities are embraced, supported, and celebrated and where families are empowered to lead fulfilling lives with dignity, purpose, and belonging.

Our Mission

To enhance the lives of people with neurodevelopmental disabilities by empowering families, especially mothers, and strengthening access to therapy, early intervention, and community based support systems.

Our Values

Empathy and mutual respect
Inclusion and dignity
Collaboration and community
Creativity and innovation
Integrity and accountability

These values guide our work and the relationships we build with families, partners, and communities.
